Admissions Process

Admission Criteria 

Berean Christian Junior Academy seeks motivated students who have achieved academic success and exhibit excellent conduct. Berean Christian Junior Academy takes a holistic approach in determining admission and considers all components of the admissions application, including academic performance, testing, teacher evaluations, interviews or observations, and extracurricular interests and talents. 

As a Christ-centered, covenant school, we require that at least one parent/guardian profess faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

1. Create an account

Our online admission application is hosted by RenWeb Student Information System. RenWeb will direct you to create an account with a password, and after you have created your account, the software will enable you to register for admissions events and navigate the application process. 

2. Complete the preliminary application

Complete the Shared Applicant Information Form and Family Information Form and submit the nonrefundable application fee of $55.

3. Register for testing

PreK: no test required 

Grades 1-8: Complete the authorization form and schedule entrance exam by contacting our admissions office at (404) 799-0337 or rlashley@bcjaschool.org. 

4. Register for on-campus observation or interview

K-8: February 3 or 10, 2020

Students in grades K-8 that shadow prior to February 3 do not need to register for an interview. They will interview during the shadow visit.

5. Complete the student questionnaire

Students applying to grades 1-8 should complete the Student Questionnaire.

6 Request transcript

K: Print and provide your child’s current school the Authorization to Release School Record form. 

1-8: Print and provide your child’s current school the Transcript Release Authorization form. The transcript will include your child’s grades, attendance, behavior report, and any standardized testing conducted by the school.

7. Delegate evaluation forms

Through your RenWeb account, delegate the appropriate recommendation forms by entering the email address(es) of the evaluator(s). 

Grades PreK-K: Teacher/Principal Evaluation 

Grade 1-5: Teacher Evaluation, Additional Teacher Evaluation (only required if the same teacher teaches student math and English), Principal/Guidance Counselor Evaluation 

Grades 6-8: English Teacher Evaluation, Math Teacher Evaluation, Principal/Counselor Evaluation, Additional Teacher Evaluation (only required if the same teacher teaches student math and English, optional Extracurricular Reference).
